About Us

The Pandavaas Story

The Himalayan Folk Festival is proudly presented by Pandavaas, a music and video production house based in Uttarakhand. Our organization, established in 2008, was founded by brothers Ishaan, Kunal, and Salil Dobhal. More than just a production company, we are a team of artists with a deep-rooted passion for the rich musical and cultural heritage of Uttarakhand.
Our journey began with a mission to celebrate and preserve the unique folk music of the Himalayas. Ishaan Dobhal, an acclaimed "Folk Fankar" (folk artist) in Uttarakhand, has been composing music for over a decade. Kunal Dobhal, with his background in Theatre and Performing Arts, directs many of our popular music videos. Salil Dobhal, known as the "eye of Pandavaas," serves as the Director of Photography, bringing our productions to life with his keen visual sense.

Through our work, we have cultivated a vibrant community and a platform for local artists to thrive. We believe that by celebrating our folk culture, we can create a lasting legacy of conscious tourism and cultural appreciation. The Himalayan Folk Festival is a direct extension of this mission, a place where the mountains truly "speak through stories, songs, and sustainability".
